
This type of meditation is a radical form of self-love and love for others. In this type of meditation focuses good, benevolent energy on yourself an others. During this type of mediation the practitioner imagines themselves in the a state of happiness, positivity and acceptance of their current state. Often times mantras are repeated, for example:
- May I be happy
- May I be safe
- May I be healthy, peaceful, and strong
- May I give and receive appreciation today
These sayings can then be transferred onto others to send positivity their way. “Level 2” of this practice would be to send these positive intentions and thoughts to the more difficult people in your life.
I really enjoyed this meditation and I think I will bring it into my practice. It has been shown that individuals who are more positive are happier and healthier. Combining positive thoughts with meditation could have very profound positive effects, even if only practiced for 5 or 10 min.
